About Ed Bond

Ed Bond grew up two blocks from the ocean on the Jersey Shore but has been happily living in Horseheads, New York, for the past 25 years. He'd been in journalism for 25 years, working as a staff and freelance reporter, copy editor, page designer and college journalism professor. He also co-wrote the story for an episode of "Star Trek: Voyager" and invented a game  called Puzzle Board Chess,  which was successfully funded on Kickstarter last year.

His company, MetaDreams LLC, was launched in 2019 with the support of Incubatorworks, an agency that helps small businesses get started and expand. Incubatorworks later established an entrepreneurship center with Chemung County at the CCC building in Elmira. Ed joined the center as part-time makerspace coordinator where he helps other entrepreneurs get their start.

He and his wife, Amy, have two sons, two cats and a    pirate ship tree house.

When Ed and Amy were living in Los Angeles in 1997, Dr. Alson Sears saved their dog Galen from canine distemper. Ed posted the story about how Galen was saved to edbond.com, eventually leading him to volunteer as project director on canine distemper for Kind Hearts In Action.

In July 2020,  Ed published a book about the Newcastle Disease Vaccine treatments for canine distemper with Dr. Sears. For more information, go to savedistemperdogs.com.
